This event is open to all IWEC`24 attendees in open science, reproducible research and data transparency practices. Join the conversation on equity, diversity and inclusion in open science through the ‘Equity in Open Science’ survey.

SORTEE is a service organisation that brings together researchers working to improve reliability and transparency through cultural and institutional changes in ecology, evolutionary biology, and related fields. Anyone interested in improving research in these disciplines is welcome to join, regardless of experience. The society is international in scope, membership, and objectives.

Bringing you something exciting and unique – we have Vikram Sridhar’s “Stories at Sunset” event on 14 and 15 June, at 6:30PM.
This is a storytelling event that celebrates the rich natural history of India using a combination of interactive storytelling, songs, and performances.

This event is open to all IWEC`24 attendees who are interested in communication, community engagement, and outreach.
More About Vikram Sridhar
Vikram Sridhar is a Performance Storyteller and theatre practitioner based in Bangalore. and Chennai. He uses the rich folk traditions of India to communicate about Indian flora and fauna, as well as conservation issues. Vikram’s aim is to connect the modern-day listener to the environment around through the power of stories and performance arts.
15 & 16 June 2024
Join Peeyush Sekhsaria and Ravi Jambhekar in an early morning art session where you can spend a quiet few hours observing nature before the bustle of the conference restarts!
Art in Nature
Date: 15 & 16 June
Time: 7:30AM – 9AM
Venue: Main Lawn
This event is open to anyone who would like to join and spend a few hours drawing fragments of the natural world. Please bring your own basic art supplies such as paper and colours.
Artwork by participants will be displayed in the NCBS Colonnade.
