Reaching NCBS
By Air
The nearest airport is Kempegowda International Airport (BLR), located approximately 25 kilometers from the NCBS campus.
From the Airport:
- Taxi/Cab: You can hire a prepaid taxi at the airport or book a ride through cab services like Uber or Ola. The journey takes around 25 minutes to 40 minutes, depending on traffic. You can input the address as NCBS front gate.
- Airport Shuttle: There are airport shuttles plying from the airport to Bangalore city. The shuttle is available from Terminal 1 of the Bangalore airport. Please ask at the bus counter for which bus goes to GKVK. You can take that bus and alight at the GKVK stop. From there, we suggest taking an auto to NCBS. Other nearby bus stops are Hebbal Esteem Mall (you can alight here and take an auto to NCBS).
By Train
The nearest major railway stations are:
- KSR Bengaluru City Railway Station (also called Majestic): Approximately 20 kilometers from NCBS.
- Yeshwantpur Junction: Approximately 12 kilometers from NCBS.
From the Railway Station:
- Taxi/Cab: Taxis and rideshares are available at both stations. The journey from Yeshwantpur Railway Station to NCBS takes around 30 minutes, while from KSR Bengaluru City Railway Station to NCBS it takes about 45 minutes.
- Auto-rickshaw: Auto-rickshaws are a cost-effective option for shorter distances. We suggest booking an auto using Namma Yatri, Ola, Uber, or Rapido for the most accurate prices to NCBS.
Accommodation
There are nearby hotels and service apartments around NCBS. Participants can avail accommodation from one of these places. We suggest calling as soon as your travel plans are confirmed and reserving your room at one of these places. Do note that your accommodation costs will have to be covered by you.
