The lndian Wildlife Ecology Conference 2026 is delighted to invite
submission for symposia proposals for the upcoming conference scheduled for 10-12th July, 2026, at Ashoka University, Sonipat. The symposia will reflect the broad goals of the conference, which is to bring together researchers of Indian wildlife ecology to discuss contemporary and emerging issues in wildlife ecology, share research, forge collaborations, and ideate future directions.
Symposium proposals may be in the following formats:
- A symposium will last 100-140 minutes with 4-6 presentations, each of 20 minutes including discussion. We expect that symposia with 4 speakers will be 100 minutes and those with 6 speakers will be 140 minutes. Chairs may have a synthesis session or discussion before and/or after the talks, at their discretion.
- Alternatively, symposia can be proposed as a 60-minute IGNITE-style session with 5-minute talks of 20 slides that advance automatically every 15 seconds to inspire the exchange of new and exciting ideas. Any IGNITE-style session may have a maximum of 10 speakers, and chairs may have a synthesis session before and/or after the talks, at their discretion. While there will be no time for Q & A for each talk, the session will be linked to the poster session, where the presenters may engage with conference participants on their presentation. Only 10% of all symposia will be IGNITE-style sessions.
